The potential for technology to streamline regulatory activity and bring benefits to organisations has long been discussed by the financial services community. But recent events have thrown regulatory technology solutions (RegTech) into the spotlight and the evidence suggests the industry is at a watershed moment.
The challenges of the global pandemic have on one hand accelerated digital transformation but on another left us exposed to new cyber risks. This, plus the unabated wave of regulatory changes and obligations that firms face, means that the crisis has created the perfect opportunity for firms and regulators to adopt and support technology to solve these challenges.
The task RegTech companies must undertake is convincing firms to allow them to work with their most sensitive data, to solve their problems. Building trust is crucial to allow all industries involved to take advantage of this pivotal moment and progress together. If you are interested in what RegTech can offer, then here is a list of events that will help you keep your finger on the pulse.
